This restaurant is one of my 3/50 project favorites. Every bite was wonderful. Lunch getaways are still possible off the main highway. We enjoyed the secluded country atmosphere. The Apple pie is a must. Baked and served in a mason jar hot & ala mode. The TOM BURGER was the best ! Oh... did I talk about the dessert first ! I love Ixtapa. From the day they opened, they did things right. The menu is large, varied, and reasonably priced. The food is good and has flavor. The wait staff is professional, friendly and fast. The interior is beautifully painted with murals of Ixtapa, Mexico, and it is clean. The Sangria is excellent! The bar side is as welcoming and comfortable as the restaurant side. One of my favorite places!

The Village Inn Restaurant is under new management and making a comeback! The breakfast menu is large and varied -- the steak and eggs are exceptional! It's food that makes you feel good, and the coffee is bottomless and good. The bar has a happy hour menu with, among other things, a cheesy cheeseburger for $2.99 that is thick, meaty and comes with seasoned waffle fries! The onion rings were perfect! They just started an all-you-can-eat lunch bar -- including salad, soup, several entrees and delicious cookies and brownies. The food has a home-cooked quality and actually has taste! The staff is very friendly and greet you at the door with a big smile. It has now become my restaurant of choice in the area. I can't wait until they open for dinner!

This is one of the BEST Mexican restaurants in the area!! Colorful atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food!! NEVER disappointed when we eat here!! Our personal favorite: Fajitas!! My husband gets the steak and I get the vegetarian (loads of yummy veggies with a tasty flavor, great alternative for any vegetarians out there!)

The Klondike has been many different things, including a fantastic bar, a mediterranean restaurant and now a steakhouse. Although many locals miss the peanut-shells-on-the-floor days, the current owners have put together a great recipe for success: good food and good service in an interesting environment.

A great place to chill!

Scappoose Creek Inn is a wonderful hidden gem in Scappoose! Just off Hwy 30 you will find the early 1900's farmhouses and barn complete with llamas and chickens. The bedrooms are clean and some are very romantic! We stayed in Pilots Paradise over Valentine's Day. It has a jacuzzi tub, electric fireplace, and a very comfy pillow top bed. It was wonderful waking up to hear roosters crow and then we had a wonderful champagne breakfast. While we were there for just one night, it would be a great place to chill for the entire weekend. We will definitely go back. With the restaurant on the premises, once checked in you never need to leave.
